More about me
From the web.
Deep into mobile.
I'm Marcin Falkowski, a developer based in Białystok, Poland. I wrote my first lines of code in 2010. As a kid, I wanted to be a webmaster: I learned the basics of PHP, ran a modding forum for Landwirtschafts Simulator (later Farming Simulator), and explored Lua scripting. Building things for a community was what first drew me to the web.
My educational background is in mechatronics. Before mobile development, I was drawn to IoT, Industry 4.0 and smart-home systems - the meeting point of software and the physical world. I started working professionally as a developer in 2022 and eventually found my focus in mobile products.
Today I work as a Senior React Native Developer at AEXOL. My work spans mobile and web products with React Native, React, Next.js and TypeScript, from early technical decisions through implementation, release and iteration.
I stay curious about technologies and approaches beyond my main stack. I use AI as a collaborator when building and refining products: setting the direction, giving concrete feedback and checking the result against the intended experience. It helps me experiment faster while keeping responsibility for the decisions and the quality of the outcome.
DewXIT is the name behind my independent projects. My portfolio includes mam chwilę, an app for making use of short breaks; S.Z.K.W.A.Ł., an aviation radar project combining live data with AI-assisted situational assessment; SquareOne, a browser-based app icon generator; and Colorazzo, a color-palette generator. My portfolio also includes client work.
I write about the practical side of engineering: React Native upgrades, native platform limitations, estimation and the tools that affect how teams build software. I care about clear thinking, honest trade-offs and software that ships.
